Program Learning Outcomes

All programs at TCC have a set of Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)  that have been approved by the full-time discipline faculty.  Each PLO is introduced, reinforced, and assessed in at least one course within the program. Ideally, each PLO is introduced in one or more lower level courses, and then reinforced and assessed in one or more higher level courses within the program. Every PLO is assessed at least once every three years.  (More information on the assessment cycle can be found on the Assessment Planning website.)

Program Learning Outcomes are available for each program in the TCC Catalog.

Course Learning Outcomes

TCC supports course design that engages students as participants in their learning.  All sections of a course (no matter mode of delivery) share a set of core Course Learning Outcomes (CLOs) that have been approved by the appropriate full-time discipline faculty members.  All CLOs are assessed in every section of a course every semester.
